Hmmm, this could be tricky then... what I've got in terms of a design is (ah, ascii art...): <---------------------------------136------------------------------> #################################################################### ^ # front ^ # | #<------------------------------130--------------------------+----># | # | # | # | # | # 32 # | # | # | # | # | # | # | # | # | # V # | #######<-------------------------100------------------------>####### | # @ # # @ # | # @ # # @ # | # @ # # @ # | #==@==# #==@==# | # @ # # @ # | # @ # # @ # | # @ # # @ # | ####### ####### 196 # @ # # @ # | # @ # # @ # | # @ # # @ # | #==@==# #==@==# | # @ # # @ # | # @ # # @ # | # @ # # @ # | ####### ####### | # # | # # | # # | # # | # # | # # | # # | # # | # # | # back # | #################################################################### V # - frame @ - wheel = - axle vertically, one line = ~3cm horizontally, one space = ~2cm Yes, it is 4 wheels. (I bought 4 very strong-looking used wheels today for $25.) As you can see, it will be a pinch at the front. I tried to balance it without making it too big. To protect the wheels and the cargo, there is a frame around the wheels at the bed level and rising to the top of the wheels. The frame at the top of the wheels continues to the back corners. The back is open, maybe add tailgate later... The frame continues from the top of the wheels to the front corners of the trailer at that height, with a cross-piece at the front for adding a lot of strength to the tongue and hitch. The railing will be somewhere between 24 and 38cm above the bed. Currently, I have only a space of 32cm before the wheels, but if the sides are that deep on the C3, I'll have to make the front longer by 25cm or so. I can certainly do that, but it will be a bit off-centre front-to-back, unless I make the whole trailer longer... It is already almost 2m, but this will make it 2.25m. That's ok. I just need to make sure it will fit. > rgb> Can you also measure the width of the pedals? > > At the front, the pedal assembly is exactly as wide as the inside of > the organ cabinet. > > And at the back they fit inside the bench. Ah, ok, so they taper a bit tooo... so it might bind at the wheel wells... Hmmm, any idea if anyone has a plan projection drawing or photo of it? Well, do you have any more to add in this design iteration? > -- > Martin K. Petersen http://mkp.net/ slainte mhath, RGB -- Richard Guy Briggs -- ~\ Auto-Free Ottawa!
